Welcome to Wellman

Just in time for Halloween, a short story by James A. Moore and Charles R. Rutledge, set in Wellman Georgia, a small town where it's best to stay out of the woods on Halloween night. This is a teaser for Jim's and my upcoming novel Blind Shadows, much of which takes place in the same town.

D'oh. Not being a Family Guy watcher, I had to google Peter Griffin to see why that was funny. heh! Griffin is actually a fairly common name in my neck of the woods. Glad you liked the story. The book will be much more gory and violent.

I'm not even close to your neck of the woods, but the story had a real local feel to it (if that makes sense), and a "Stand By Me" vibe. Little Petey Griffin was just an added bonus.

That makes my day, sir. Jim and I were going for a 'regional' feel.
