I've always liked the longer Lovecraft stories like MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS, THE CASE OF CHARLES DEXTER WARD, and THE WHISPERER IN THE DARKNESS. He really has a chance to develop character and atmosphere in the longer work. But I like just about all his Mythos fiction.
I think I'd agree with your list, though the three Walker cited certainly deserve honorable mention.
Case of Charles Dexter Ward, the Dunwich Horror and the third would be a tie. Fritz Leiber complained when the Arkham House Dunwich Horror first came out that the Festival wasn't in it. I was startled when I discovered that but I've come to agree with him.The other would be The Call of Cthulhu even though it shows so well everything I dislike about him.
