Acquisitions

Another budget crunching week at the comic book store. The big (literally and financially) item was volume II of the TARZAN: JOE KUBERT ARTIST EDITION, featuring much wonderful artwork shot from the original pages. Also hefty, but very reasonable in price is the collection of MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE MINI-COMICS which reproduces all the comics which were included in various MotU toy sets over the years. Tons of art by folks like Alfredo Alcala. Plus vol 20 of the collected SAVAGE SWORD OF CONAN, which brings us to issue 212 of 235. I have the full run of the originals but it's just darn handy to have these reprints on the shelf. Finally a DOC SAVAGE double novel and the first issue of the revived ROOK title. A fun week, but I'll be living on peanut butter sandwiches for the next couple of weeks...

You, too, huh? And here I thought I was the only one.

Nope. We gotta make sacrifices.
